From Willow Park, Texas...home of Willow Worlds…come enjoy the winter version but BACKWARDS. Let's just see what happens when you turn this route around...a few downhills were once up hill and vice a versa. Offered routes are 62, 48 and 32. All slightly shorter (length/height) winter versions and travel through Parker county as before. One of the Winter route differences includes utilizing the seemingly private Wright and Tucker roads (downhill) with the hopes of hiding from the northern colder winds...EXCEPT there's no cold wind...so you'll have to just sit back and enjoy the solitude of this serene nook. Then off to go UP my favorite downhill on Covered Bridges. Re-inserted from the summer version, all riders will finish by climbing out of Squaw Creek. Yes, full disclosure…this is where you insert a few “ouch” and “bad” words. All routes will catch you dancing on your pedals and on the way to losing a few holiday pounds.
Come enjoy the warm temperatures before the angry and ugly winter season rears its true character. Winter Willow Worlds and Parker county (as always) play host on highly quiet, solitary, scenic and serene roads.
Noted rest stops on routes. With a shortage of stores in the area, the two short routes have an early rest stop at 17 miles. The long route has a Springtown rest stop at mile 32.
As always FREE, open door welcome, membership not required. Friends With Bikes provided....
