Hicks Airfield Adventure

Sunday, August 15, 2010 8:00 am - Fort Worth TX - This is a new ride from Hick's Airfield north of Fort Worth. We will have a short route of about 25 miles and a longer one of 50 miles. The short route rides the roads north of Saginaw. The longer route goes around Eagle Mountain Lake to Azle and then up a new hill I found to get up to Rhome. We will start from the Rio Concho cafe and then lunch there afterwards. Tim at the cafe will have specials for breakfast and lunch and will open at 7:00 a.m. that morning so you can sample his pancakes before the ride. The start location is at the Rio Concho Cafe, 171 Aviator Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76179.

CAUTION: Once in the airport, all roads are active taxi ways for airplanes. So you are required to yield to any planes. So if there are planes coming at you when you drive in, don't panic, just pull over into a lot and let them pass.
