Come join us for a new ride 2-day event! We are going to start at the Howorth's house in Aledo on Saturday morning and ride 63 miles to the Gray's house in Palo Pinto county. (If you would like a shorter route, you can join us at the first rest stop at the BackRoads Cafe in Brock for 39 miles. Be there about 10:30.) At the Gray's we'll have a pot-luck pre-Thanksgiving dinner, have a bonfire, look at the stars, and spend the night. Then Sunday we will get up and ride back to Aledo! Kind of a mini-Austin-to-Ft. Worth deal.
Logistics are:
- Bring an overnight bag and something to share for dinner and we'll truck those out to our house and back. Could use some non-riding spouse help with that.
- We will provide ham and drinks for dinner, you bring something to share. We will do breakfast burritos for Sunday morning.
- Sleeping arrangements. Gray's are pretty full, but floor space is plentiful if you have a sleeping bag. There is a hotel in the development with good rates and i have rooms blocked - but let me know by the 17th because they unblock after that. I can probably round up several friendly neighbors' spare bedrooms, but i need to know about that in advance also.
- Alternatively, you are welcome to do the ride out to Palo Pinto and have your non-riding significant other join us for evening events then head home if you prefer.
So.. this will be a fun adventure. Shoot me an email if you want to know about the hotel option.. it is pretty nice! But if you want the hotel option, i need to know right after Leakey or i will have to release the hold on the rooms.
