Come out and join us for an urban ride tour of Fort Worth. We will ride from our house in Riverbend Estates off of Randol Mill Road in East Fort Worth (easy to get to off I-820 or I-30). It will be a no drop, no cue sheet ride that will include both roads and trails and will take us through Gateway Park, the Trinity Trails, Northside, downtown Fort Worth, some neighborhoods, some hills and more!
Jerry will lead a longer route at a 13-16 mph pace of approximately 44 to 48 miles. There will be some short sections of hard-packed gravel but your road bike or tandem will be fine for riding it. Betty will lead a shorter route of approximately 20 to 25 miles at a slower conversational pace.
Be sure to stick around after the ride for a backyard pizza party. Bring your camp chairs and beverage of your choice. We will supply water and will have the pizzas delivered at 1:00, so the goal is to have everyone back by then.
Please RSVP to Jerry by Friday November 4 if you plan to attend by signing up on the website or sending an email to jerryltrimble@sbcglobal.net. This is VERY IMPORTANT because the neighborhood is gated and we will have to give a list of the attendees to the guard in order for you to get in the gate. There will be parking both in the street in front of our house on River Meadows Place and also at the back of our house by our driveway on Riverbend Parkway (which dead ends into River Meadows Place).
The final reminder is that this is the end of daylight savings time so be sure to set your clocks back an hour for the 9 a.m. start time. Hope to see you there!
